Who is 7tune?
Adam J.P Zillin – Managing Director, Tokyo, Japan
![]() |
For over a decade, Adam J.P Zillin has been hard at work understanding, perfecting and applying his trades as a professional Designer, Artist, Automotive Photo-Journalist, Networking Consultant, Business Entrepreneur and Multi-Media Manager.
Even from a very young age, Adam was infatuated with cars and then inevitably became addicted to the sensations of the speed that those cars delivered. Growing up in Adelaide during the 80′s and 90′s exposed him to Formula 1 speeds, unforgettable sounds and drivers, along with the V8 Super Cars with their roaring V8′s and tightly run battles. As it always is with things borne of dedication, one thing led to another; greets with legends like Sir Jack Brabham and Peter Brock led to talks with Sir Stirling Moss and then eventually time with Michael Schumacher and Mark Webber, lunches with Gerhard Berger, Keiichi Tsuchiya, Fernando Alonso, Norbert Haug and Giancarlo Fisichella, among many other notable motorsporting personalities. Motorsport has always responded in kind to the Australians advances. With a tertiary education grounded within Industrial and Mechanical engineering principles, it’s no wonder that Japanese and European sports cars have always been deeply interesting to the amiable Aussie and he has owned and developed a string of them over the years from a variety of manufacturers. During his teens to early 20′s, he could be found tinkering away in a garage late at night on his modified TA22 and RA23 Celica’s. Mechanics were considered just as important as aesthetics to Adam and in early 2002, he found himself serving as an apprentice for a premium Euro workshop, where he rekindled a taste for German machinery having grown up around BMW’s during his childhood. It was there that Adam became familiar with modifying European cars from manufacturers like Porsche, Audi and Ferrari. Then, in 2005, Adam felt that the truest growth for his future lay offshore, making the sudden move to relocate to Japan completely. It was in Japan that the “Zildog” truly found his feet, landing right in the middle of a flourishing motorsport and tuning industry. Taking over as Owner and Managing Director of 7Tune, he has worked relentlessly for the betterment and progression of the entire industry and its fans from a media relations perspective; focusing on the 7Tune mantra of providing the “Ultimate JDM Experience” by regularly showcasing absolute top quality content, news and information. Benson Lau – Assistant Director, Singapore, Singapore

Benson, or “Ben” as he likes to be known, has been into cars since his parents gave him his first matchbox car. Before he could memorise his multiplication tables he already knew how to point out the names of cars. Having grown up in both Singapore and Sydney, whilst spending time in Germany and Hong Kong, Ben enjoys the subtleties of worldwide car culture.
After the impulsive purchase of a Nissan Skyline off eBay, whilst living in Sydney, he delved into the tuning world. Making up for lost time, he sought to live up the JDM experience in a rapid succession of automobile purchases. He enjoys reading Import Tuner, Performance Import, Redline, Octane and EVO magazines. After studying his Bachelor of Business degree, he is now located in Singapore and looks forward to watching the changes to the motorsport and tuning world in Asia in the coming years. Benson has applied his knowledge to applications within the automotive industry and has already helped broker several important connections for 7Tune in South East Asia; his intuitiveness and networking ability proving integral for 7Tune’s advance into areas of key importance and future growth.
