It’s been a while since the last installment so we’ve got some catching up to do, this time we’ve got VIP and Haiso cars, some hardcore Civics, a weird Kei delivery van with hippari tire and even an R35 GT-R.
From Port Island in Kobe:

A couple of S150 Toyota Crown Majestas, the first one is what is sometimes called a ‘Haiso Car’ (haiso = high society) and the second one has proper VIP modifications. The VIP has a parking ticket stuck to the windshield.

A Toyota Wish with aftermarket body kit and some alloy wheels. There are a lot of these with minor body enhancements getting around, almost as many as unmodified ones.

Well what do you know, a Toyota Corona Coupe! We actually did a Forgotten JDM article on this model but it seems that there’s at least one person out there who remembers them! This is a 2.0L model with automatic transmission.

A fairly modified Nissan 180SX. This is one of the few performance cars I’ve seen around here that doesn’t have decent offset. It looks like these wheels were meant for a FWD car.

A very nice Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. The owner got a set of matching number plates too.

This EK9 Civic Type R apparently doesn’t belong in this parking space, I’ve since seen a notice under the wiper blades asking it to be moved. This is one of a few well modified Civics I’ve seen recently.

Daihatsu Mira delivery van with hippari tire! The bolt on overfenders and hood scoop just scream ‘wannabe Hashiriya’ and the Speed Star Mk II wheels (with 155/60/R13 tires) fill out the fenders nicely.

And here I was thinking dogs in Japan were limited to Toy Poodles and Chihuahuas…
Maya Port Area:

This Nissan Tiida actually looks kind of cool with a body kit and alloy wheels.

A nice 100 Toyota Chaser.

Another Civic, this time an EG6 SiRII. It was pretty heavily modified from what I could see, with a roll cage, lots of gauges, Bride seats, coil over shocks, stripped interior…

A R35 Nissan GT-R in the HAA auction compound. I asked to take a closer look but the security guard wouldn’t allow it. It was really tightly packed in so this is the best shot of it.

A couple of S15 Nissan Silvias also at the HAA auction compound… I’m not sure if they’re meant to be there. This part of the auction grounds is where all the ‘zero grade’ cars are kept, starting prices are 0 yen and often go for 100,000 yen or so. Needless to say they’re all very high mileage cars with varying degrees of damage and wear.

To finish off this installment we have some ‘plastic cars’! Actually the buildings here where I live are undergoing renovations so they’ve covered the cars closest to the building with plastic to stop paint drips and debris falling on them. The owners notify the renovation company if their car is going to be needed for the day or not. Can you guess what kind of cars are under the plastic?
