With the upcoming release of Forza Horizon, the new installment in the Forza Motorsport franchise, the much anticipated game was officially launched at the Australian International Motorshow in Sydney and automotive bloggers from all over Australia were invited to attend the event and have a go at their new release.
With more and more people getting familiar with the game, the lap times started dropping. The game carries all the realistic physics from Forza Motorsports into an open world and it just works so well, being a Forza Motorsports fan myself I thoroughly enjoyed Forza Horizon.
The overall feel of the game is amazing, Forza have really raised the bar in the genre. The game offers great graphics as usual, a large range of cars to choose from and an amazing world in which to drive these cars yet it’s not as serious as a full racing sim. Forza have really found the perfect crossover between a racing sim and an arcade game which will certainly be enjoyed by rev heads of all ages when it gets released on the 23rd of this month.
The event was all fun and games until racing driver, Sarah Harley, announced the competition on the day, then everyone put their game faces on. All car bloggers were pitted against each other for the ultimate prize of taking home a brand new Xbox 360 console and a copy of the game. They were even promised a bottle of champagne, this was turning out to be a real race after all.
It was a great event and we would like to thank everyone involved in making it happen.Even though I didn’t get the win, I didn’t walk away empty handed. I managed to get a quick snap with the promo girls and Sarah Harley and I’ll also be getting a copy of the game when it’s released later this month.
