I bet you have seen a Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche before, they are amazing aren’t they? But have you seen a beetle with the same styling idea? A guy name Ojan Bullet made it possible; day and night for 7 years he worked hard towards his fantasy. He never gave up on his idea, never stop pushing his limits. Now, the day he was hoping for has arrived. His hard work has paid off.
Before any work could be started, Ojan’s idea needed approval. Without any hesitation he fought his fear of being rejected and emailed Mr.Ichiraku Toshi; an executive member of Rauh-Welt United States. This was Ojan’s fateful conversation with Mr.Ichiraku Toshi:
Ojan Bullet: Thanks Mr.Toshi. Many bugs in Malaysia like my styling and a special thanks to RWB. Hope to get your blessing to use your logo/brand and hope that more RWB bugs will follow my footstep.
Mr.Ichiraku Toshi: Thank you Ojan-San it’s a nice bug!! We like it and keep up the good work. Make sure we keep in touch.
And with that, this started.
This beetle is the last generation of the classic beetle ever produced. The classic shape and style harking back to the days when Mr Ferdinand Porsche loved his Tatras. This Rauh-Welt inspired beetle is named the Super Bullet Beetle, a name given by Ojan himself. The interesting part of this car design is the idea of mixing a German VW looks and Rauh-Welt’s style.
The Super Bullet Beetle stayed inside Ojan’s Garage for quite sometime, he had to strip her naked and work on her body step by step. Once bodywork was complete, she was left there about a month or more. This was due to, shall we say, a limitation in funds.
After a month Ojan decided to rebuild and redesign the Super Bullet Beetle’s engine bay. Work was a little slow at first, as he didn’t want to rush the crafting. After 3 months, the Super Bullet Beetle was ready to have a new heart. Plastic surgery and a new heart transplant completed; from a 1.1L engine to a 1.6L engine. The only part that stayed from the old engine was the carburetor.
After driving the Super Bullet Beetle for a few months, Ojan felt it was time to change the suspension for better handling. He then fit in a set of Titan shocks and springs into the Super Bullet and along with 2 pairs of disk brakes.
As for the interior, two bucket seats were fixed in along with a set of Takata harnesses bolted into the rear part of the Super Beetle. And also this car is equipped with a custom tachometer in it’s custom fibreglass housing. And he even rewrapped the dashboard. All this without professional help and after work hours.
Mr Ojan, you really outdid yourself. I hope Mr Nakai-san will see this one day.
A special thanks to Ojan Bullet, Rauh-Welt and Olskoo.org for giving us a chance to inspire others.
