Honda has just released the final spec sheet for their 2010 Super GT contender, the HSV-010 GT..
And it looks like a cracker! Honda announced today their participation in the 2010 Super GT series with what was going to be their FR V10. Honda will take part in the GT500 series after saying sayonara to the previous NSX which it used until last season. The NSX was effectively cut out of Super GT after new rules stipulated that participating cars must be Front Engine and Rear wheel drive. The killer though is how Honda managed to wriggle their way out of the “Must be a production ready car”, claiming that the FR V10 which was put on the back burner last year is technically still ‘production ready’. Or so at least they say. What this means for us is that while Honda will still be able to partake in GT500 but we’re probably likely not to see the car in a road going form any time soon.
Other than the major details listed below, Honda only went on to confirm which teams will be participating and who the drivers will be. In total there will be five teams, looking something like this.

Whoops…I think I need to change my underwear…
What to say about this? Big words aren’t big enough for this car, I just hope that the people at Honda will get their common sense back and inject some soul in their lineup with this car and the S3000.
I like it ALOT! I wish they would make it a production. To bring the a FR because they are currently without one… right? I can’t say this is the next NSX because the NSX was a MR
. Sad to see the NSX gone. It was my ferrari
I personally can’t wait for Honda to spank that GT-R….
I’m faithful, and I believe that down the road another NSX will raise.
Maybe not next year, but in few years….I’m optimistic.
I’m Glad to see more and more companies moving back towards the sportier side of the business, I just hope something similar makes it to production and specially makes it States side…
Very, very nice. I like how Honda ditch F1 but come back with this, it’s like a real nice consolation prize (I wish they were still in F1). The pics look like they’re photoshopped though… anyone else agree??
Quite amazing that they give such technical data away for a race car!
well, the thing is, when i can buy one? seem like the competitor will only hold their mouth for several rounds only, if the car still not even start sell before the season end… honda need to answer lots of questions…
That car is pure sex.
holy crap.. its fkn sex on wheels… love the back
