Enkei PF01 and PF02 alloy wheels will hit the market in Japan next month.

Enkei uses “MAT forming” process to produce light alloy wheels in larger sizes by first spinning the rim to alter the micro structure of the aluminum to resemble that of a forged wheel, then the wheel is shaved of material to allow weight savings of 10 – 15%. They’re still a cast wheel but with much improved strength thanks to the MAT Dura-flow forming. Both the PF01 and PF02 wheels benefit from this process and also undergo Enkei’s “Spec-E” testing which exceeds JWL and VIA standards. Both wheels also feature a “roulette pattern” to stop slippage between tire and rim.

The PF01 features a classic spilt-5 spoke design and comes in 15×5J – 18×9J sizes with offsets from +35 to +53 and also come in PCD 4×100 and 5×114.3. See here for more details.

The PF02 has a hollowed out 5 spoke design with spokes that go to the very edge of the rim making it look bigger than it is. Sizes range from 15×5J to 18×8J with offsets from +38 to +53 and also come in PCD 4×100 and 5×114.3. See the sizing chart here.

  3. Justin Karow says:

Kamuri: The PF01s are on the US/global Enkei website but I don’t see the PF02s. I’m sure some of the better wheel and tire vendors in Europe will stock the PF01s at least.

  4. Stingray says:

The PF01 looks good, it can fit great a lot of cars if you chose the right size for the right car.
