NEWS SCOOP – HOT VERSION IS BACK!!

Hot Version is BACK! And now on sale in Japan as of this week!

Those of you around the world that were saddened by our news that both Hot Version and Best Motoring were being killed off in our news scoop back in April can now breathe a sigh of relief because as we predicted, one of the titles is being saved and continues on with the themes of Touge, drift and tuning segments with all the right characters and protagonists in the mix.

Tsuchiya is back with a vengeance bringing with him Orido and Taniguchi for the Touge battles…

Volume 111 showcasing a heads up between MCR’s GT-R R35 and C-SER’s GRB Impreza STi

There will also be a section dedicated to the newly created Drift Muscle series in conjunction with Daijiro Inada!

The combination of Drift Muscle and Hot Version sure to provide some pretty explosive entertainment. Of course there’s also beautiful models…

..and tuner specials including RE Ameiya and to salivate over.

This news will no doubt serve as a huge relief for fans around the world who loved the unique viewing experience that any Hot Version video gave them for years on end and 7Tune has been in touch with the creators to confirm that we are still in the mix for bringing you exclusive behind the scenes previews of each release.

Before the 2&4 offices closed down earlier this year, the staff told me that Best Motoring was actually a liability for the growth of the company and even Hot Versions sales couldn’t sustain the future of both titles. In fact, Hot Version sales outnumbered Best Motoring, 2:1. This put huge pressure on the production staff and so the decision was made by the parent publishing giant Kodansha to axe one title and ressurrect the other.
