Nissan has announced further improvements for the 2012 GT-R. The already impressive figures just got yet another boost!
The original GT-R started out with 480BHP. The 2010 and 2011 models got 530BHP and the 2012 model get’s a stunning 550BHP. Torgue rises from 612 to an impressive 632nm. Fuelconsumption improves from 12 liters per 100km to 11.8 liters per 100km
The car has been further improved on numerous details. The transmission has been refined, making it quieter while improving shift times. Ceramic brakes are also now standard for the Premium and Egoist editions.
The “Track Pack” is now also for sale for Left hand drive GT-R’s. This improves and stiffens the suspension even more and come’s with Spec-V wheels. To improve the power to weight ratio, Nissan ditched the backseat making it a two seater with the seats being covered in a special leather giving extra grip in corners. The package further contains a special carbon fiber front spoiler with extra air-ducts, improving the airflow to the intercoolers.
All this adds up to some amazing numbers: 0-60mph in 2.8sec and a 1/4 mile in just over 10 seconds! I’ll make sure to pay a visit to my local Nissan dealer when this beast hits the showroom in January!
