Slammed Datsun 510 Bluebird SSS

It’s not every day you get to see one of these little beauties in this type of condition and especially so with this type of stance! It’s the type of car that makes you stop what ever it is you are driving at the time to go over and take a closer look. Glad I did.

This hella flush Datsun Bluebird SSS ( or Datsun 1600 as they are called in other markets ) sits pretty on very dished rims, bulging out at the seams thanks to the independent rear suspension.

The clean, straight lines and complimentary silver color really set off the aggressive slamming nicely.

Even though these cars are now rare to find in this condition and prohibitively expensive to own and run in Japan, it is reassuring that some have taken the plunge anyway, preserving whatever pieces of car culture they can, despite the obvious difficulties.

So, so tough.
