Welcome to Eastern Creek Raceway, the home of World Time Attack 2011 for the next three days. Over the next three days we will be bringing you all the action straight from the track, pit and all the action behind the scenes. Be sure to check in regularly to keep up to date with what’s happening at Eastern Creek and watch the event unfold from the comfort of your own home.

Today was the official practice day where the cars were able to hit the tracks and get in some good laps before the official event starts tomorrow. Although the event wasn’t officially timed it’s easy to say that we’re going to have a good fight on our hands for the title this year with all the teams bringing their A-game to WTAC this year. Let’s have a look at what we can expect to see over the next couple of days.

Who can forget the reigning champion; the CYBER EVO from Japan driven again by Tarzan Yamada.

Another competitive Evolution is the Sierra Sierra EVO from the USA and driven by David Empringham.

Here we have Australia’s own Advan / Hi Octane Racing Nissan Skyline R34 GTR driven by Mark Berry.

There are also a large number of entrants in both Open Class and Clubsprint Class and not to mention the Tectaloly Drift Challenge as well. Here’s what you can expect to see in the next couple of days.

Morpowa Racing’s 180SX driven by Simon Podlewski.

Mad Mike’s quad rotor RX7 from New Zealand

Lloyd Smith’s 1UZFE powered KE70 Corolla, yes that’s right it’s a V8 in a Corolla.

These are the caliber of cars you can expect to see more of over the next couple of days as the World Time Attack Challenge unfolds. Who will be this year’s champion? Only time will tell.
