WTF – ITASHA… FERRARI F360?

I really like the animated blockbuster franchise centered around the Evangelion series and I’m geek enough to admit that Asuka is my kind of gal but the flavor of this mix of Japanese Itasha and Italian Supercar may be too difficult for some palates to appreciate…

Daikoku Futo hosted a blockbuster of its own this afternoon, serving up a massive amount of rare, collectible, droolworthy machines, lit up by clear blue skies and refreshing temperatures. The best way to recharge your car batteries after a long and draining 2010 is to get fired right back up and BANG, we are off again for another break neck paced 2011!!

So stick around 7tuners, we’re going to continue to serve up the BEST JDM content you will see ANYWHERE!

While some will be making the trip out there tonight for the S13 day ( January 3rd ), these unfortunate souls missed out on one of the most epic gatherings of supercars in the country but 7tune was clued in by some close friends in the club, so we are glad we were there to capture the lions share of the fun! All for you guys to enjoy during!

Now, I don’t necessarily completely agree with the decoration this F360 has received either but there is no denying its uniqueness and in a culture where it’s getting harder for people just to stand out from the rest, the thinking sometimes go way outside the box and results in these types of creations.

Refreshing and different; I’ll give it that! What do you guys think about Italy and Japan mixing in this way?

Oh and I have tons more to show you from today including one of the fastest coupes in the world – a special little car that is easily capable of the triple ton…

  1. Hmm to keep the Evangelion theme going, the purple one should wear Mari Illustrious Makinami (Evangelion 2.0) graphics. Personally I prefer Rei Ayanami. Wonder if the new white STI sedan would look cool with her on.

  2. i love how you manage to stay neutral through all of these different styles. We need more openness in this world when it comes to self expression. cars have always been one of the last bastions of free expression in this world.

  3. That’s exactly the reason why I’m not gonna hate on the ride, Joe. I’d never do that to a Ferrari, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t either but the fact someone has, I think is pretty cool.

  4. I am a second generation Roman Italian immigrant. These cars are part of my heritage and I always thought “less is more” when it comes to their aesthetics. So even though I tend to think as a minimalist when it comes to something like this, I’m respectful enough to tip my fedora to those who see a blank canvas when they look at a stock car… ANY stock car.

  5. I tend to agree but I’d have to say that the graphics take away from the aesthetics, as you put it.

For me, and with Ferrari’s in particular, they need to be kept clean and unfussed. the lines of the car, the design is carefully crafted.

They’re beautiful without the graphics added to it – and I think that’s the point, wouldn’t you agree?

  6. Have to say that I think a car like a Ferrari would be better off without graphics but, if we all thought the same, the motoring world would be a much more boring place, wouldn’t it?

  7. It depends on what the person wants to do with the car. If the owner believes that the Ferrari is already a piece of art and just needs some anime to spice it up (combining western and eastern art) then fine.

Personally I would love to put some simple Gundam anime on my car and some stickers (like 7tune 🙂 but I’m worried the proper authorities might deem it as “modifying” the paint of the car.

Oh by the way Adam, can’t wait for the next movie. The last cliffhanger was awesome!

  8. That trailer doesn’t make the wait any less bearable, I can’t wait till it comes out.

I am a pretty big anime lover but most itasha is not my taste at all. I feel like it ruins a cars presence. Like your favorite metal singer suddenly showing up on stage in a barney the dinosaur suit. Sure you can do it but it feels really out of place.

For me I would not do that to an already amazing car.

  9. Wow, well… that looks kinda interesting, ha ha. The colors of the car is nice, though some non-Evangelion fans might not like the design. It looks somewhat cool, and it’s a nice custom paint job, since a car dealership probably won’t have those babies as they are.
